Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Hopora mobile game and the hopora.download website (together, "the service"). By installing or playing the game, you accept them.

Who provides the service

Hopora is developed and operated by Berkay Kaynar, an independent developer based in Türkiye ("we", "us"). Contact: through the contact form.

Licence to play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play Hopora on devices you own or control, for private, non-commercial use. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, modify, rent, resell or redistribute the game, use cheats or automation that alter gameplay, or extract the game's assets for redistribution, except where such a restriction is void under mandatory law.

Age

The game is suitable for general audiences and contains no realistic violence. If you are a minor in your country, use the game and make purchases only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

Purchases

Two single, non-consumable in-app products are offered: "Remove ads", which also unlocks the Solar outfit, and the "Collector Pack", which unlocks three couriers and two outfits that can also be earned with sparks in play. No game currency is sold. Payment is processed by the App Store or Google Play, not by us: we never see or store card or billing data. Each purchase is tied to the store account it was made with and can be restored with "Restore purchase" in the pause menu.

Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy. If you are a consumer in the EEA, the UK or Türkiye, your statutory withdrawal and warranty rights are unaffected by these terms; contact us and we will help you deal with the store.

Advertising

The game shows optional rewarded ads and occasional interstitials through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), with Unity Ads in the mediation chain. No part of the game requires you to watch an ad. What the ad networks process is described in the privacy policy.

Leaderboard and player names

Since version 1.2 the game shows a shared leaderboard for iPhone and Android, in the game and at hopora.download. Every player gets a name and number (for example Berkay#4821), which you can change in the game at any time. Your name, number, courier, outfit and scores are public.

Pick a name that is not offensive, hateful or sexual, does not pretend to be another person, us or a moderator, and does not advertise anything. Names are checked against a word filter in five languages, and any player can report a name. We may replace a name that breaks these rules with "Kurye#" and a number, hold scores that look impossible for review, remove scores, or keep a player off the leaderboards, while the game itself stays fully playable. Using cheats or modified clients to reach the leaderboard is not allowed.

Players who use Game Center and have not opened version 1.2 yet may appear with their Game Center name and a "Game Center" mark, read from Hopora's public Game Center leaderboards. Game Center's own leaderboards keep running alongside.

Your progress

Score, banked sparks, unlocked couriers and outfits, settings and purchase state are stored on your device. Since 1.2 the game also keeps a backup of your progress on our server, tied to your leaderboard profile, and brings it back after a reinstall or on a new device through your iCloud key storage, Game Center, Android's own backup or the recovery code shown under Settings > Account. Keep that code somewhere safe: without any of these we cannot tell your new device is yours. Purchases stay with the store they were made in. The backup is a convenience, not a guarantee; if it fails, we cannot restore lost progress. You can delete your leaderboard record and the backup at any time under Settings > Account; the anonymous statistics described in the privacy policy are not a copy of your progress.

Availability and changes

The game is provided "as is". We may update, change or discontinue features, and we may stop distributing the game entirely. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that the game is free of defects.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or lost in-game progress. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Your mandatory consumer rights always apply.

Intellectual property

The Hopora name, the game, its code, artwork and sounds belong to us. Screenshots and gameplay videos may be used freely in reviews, articles, streams and videos, including monetised ones.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date below always shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Turkish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and may bring proceedings before the courts that those rules make available to you.
